Moon surface detail is washed out
« on: March 25, 2017, 12:15:27 PM »
Hello, I have a question about how to get the detail in the render of the moon. It looks like the moon is extremely washed out when in Game. I was wondering if this was a setting I do not know about. when I say "washed out" I mean it is all white and only hints of detail. When I am in scene view it seems that the detail I am looking for is on the material. Just when I start the game all detail on the moon is lost. Can you tell me what I am missing?
Thank you

Hi Catttdaddy,

Do you mean the moon is just mostly bright white without the crater detail of the texture?  Do you have any glow or similar components on your camera that might be blowing out the moon brightness?  It might be an issue of needing tonemapping on your scene camera as well, which i always recommend people use in Unity in general, not just with Tenkoku.

Are you using Gamma or Linear rendering in your project?

If you don't have any camera effects, and it's still happening, definitely let me know.
