How do you Change the Level but Have Tenkoku continue?
« on: June 24, 2016, 07:18:05 PM »
My levels are not single levels like in regular games. They are more like areas of a city that connect through teleports. You collide with a teleport...what do you call them. oh yeah Triggers. your FPS character connects with a trigger. It triggers a change to the next part of town in otherwords another level. For example even from the inside of your house to the immediate outside is a change of level. I'm trying to keep the levels/areas small.

Ok, so what i want for the Tenkoku system to continue the time of day and weather that it left off at after it goes from one level/scene/area to the other. How do you do that?

So basically the question is
How do you Change the Level/scene but Have Tenkoku continue without restarting?

Best way is to probably designate the Tenkoku object and camera in your scene as non-destroyable, by using this API here:
https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Object.DontDestroyOnLoad.html

That way they should be consistent from scene to scene.
