Multiple Water_Force E.g. For A Windy River
« on: September 08, 2014, 09:11:47 PM »
Is there a simple way to have multiple Water_Force vectors, for something like a windy, bendy river?  For a straight river, a simple vector works, but for one that bends around, the objects would end up flowing into the riverbank.

If not, I would think it would be simple enough to add a 2D vector of points, which could then return 2D vectors for flow.  This would be a nice feature, perhaps in 2.0? :)

Thanks!

hi lysolpionex,

currently, no.  The force vector is in world space so it doesn't wrap around a river.  I do have plans to add true flowmap support to 2.0, but this will probably be after it's up on the store... so pobably version 2.1  Once flowmap support it in it should be feasible to reference the water direction and map it to the force variable.
