Particle Render Order and Underwater Fog Effects
« on: April 27, 2020, 08:52:18 PM »
How do I get a particle shader to render on top of (above) the SUIMONO fog? I want to create "god rays" and bubbles, but they're not visible when rendering in front of fog.

The problem:

You can try switching the image effect mode, in order to display the transparent particles that are overwritten by the fog.  To do this open up the Suimono/scripts/suimono_underwaterfog.cs file, then around line 142 (just before the OnRenderImage section) you should see the following:
Code: [Select]
//[ImageEffectOpaque]
You can try removing the comment lines to switch the mode...

Code: [Select]
[ImageEffectOpaque]
Then save the .cs file and replay your scene.  This can cause some strange rendering issues depending on your scene and project, you can always switch it back if it causes further issues.  Try it and let me know how this works for you.
