Doesn't work sky on firetv
« on: September 12, 2018, 02:53:45 AM »
Hello.
Does Tenkoku support Fire OS?
I tried page 3 of the official document.
In FireHD10 (2017) it was beautifully displayed (color space = linear, sky material = Elek) but it could not be displayed with firetv (gen 3).
Although it was possible to display by adjusting the setting of the color space and skybox, it becomes a poor quality screen.
Can it be displayed beautifully as with fireHD10?

my environment:
Unity 2018.2.6 f 1 for mac OS
Tenkoku 1.1.9 (but shows 1.1.8 in inspector of prefab)

I tried it afterwards.

I got firetv(gen 2).
gen2 is compatible with openGLES 3.0.
It worked perfectly!

Is it severe to move Tenkoku with similar quality in openGLES 2.0 as well?

Hi Kitune,

Sorry for the delayed response, for some reason this particular thread does not load for me in my main browser(Firefox).  But seems to load just fine in Chrome... WEIRD!  Never seen any other forum threads do this.

In regards to FireTV I don't have any personal experience so cannot say 100%, however I suspect one of the issues with running on openGLES 2 might perhaps be related to the temporal aliasing feature.  You can try disabling this in the Tenkoku settings and try running on the older hardware, but I'm just guessing.
